JUST BUYING EVERYONE'S GASOLINE FOR THEM

I met so may new people today, buying their gasoline for them. We planned this outing a month ago, decided which gas station to attend, and bought everyone's gas who stopped in for an hour and a half. The responses were amazing! Everyone I served asked why we were buying their gas for them. We told them, "well, we can tell you about the love Jesus has for you, but today, we'd rather show you, so we're doing this."

I am not sharing this adventure we had today to boast. I am using it as a testimony, because I saw God move today in so many people, it blows me away. I saw today that the field truly is ripe for harvest, as so many people were just blown away that Jesus loves them. It's as if they have never been told!!!

One lady actually hugged me and said, "you have no idea what this means to me!" , (picture shown above with it's own title, she's the woman getting into her red car), while another told me she was a witness for Jesus throughout the country, and had just the other day told Jesus she never knew if she was telling people His story right, or if anything she did had any results. She was struggling in her faith, and she took the free gas as a sign from God that she was on the right track, as a physical manifestation of His love for her.

Many people were touched today, but I actually think I was touched more than anyone else. I came away filled with joy, and have been riding that high wave all day long.

Oh yeah, Brett tried to take my picture, but since he doesn't have a blog, you can't see it. But, I HAVE a blog, so here's Brett!!

Tom, you took a picture of my bad side. I think I will get a blog so I can display your picture. Then everyone can see how pumped-up Hans really is. Take care and thanks for being a part of a awesome day. The word awesome is even to light of a word to describe this day. God is great.

That is such an awesome act of kindness and display of God's Love! Praise God! :) Our guest pastor just was talking about about how if you do one thing this christmas time it should be to share the love of God and tell people about that love! Very awesome!!

Brett, I know I said this after we got back, but I'll say it again.....I have never been as touched by a Conspiracy of Kindness event as I was today! I was supposed to be the one sharing the love of Christ, and although we did that, still, I felt as if Jesus was standing there saying, "here's some love for you, too, Tom."

You know, every so often I say that we need to feel or witness a physical representation of Christ, that we need to see His love acted out for us as well as those we claim to want to share that love with. But I never really project that onto myself, for whatever reason. I never really think of myself needing, until He gives it, and then I realize how much I really did need it. Does that make sense?

Mustang Girl, thank you for the encouragement. I chose to share this event on my blog because I just felt so determined to give a testimony to believers about what happened, to sort of share what I was given yesterday. Normally, I'd share the love of Jesus, and look for where next to go, without focusing too much on what we had just shared in. But this was so different!! I don't feel like I did anything, instead, I feel like I was the recipient. Thus, the testimony.

oh my gosh, this really awakens with inspiration and excitment!!! I'm so glad you did this and shared it, it has a life it contains!!!!! Wow Tom and friends, I'm so smiling! The contagiousness of it has my mind cranking to think of a way I can share Him like that, and although I am without the physical means, I know that there is something from within I can do and give... my mind is wrapping around this as a way for my kids and I to do something meaningful and together.

I also see your heart Tom here, "You know, every so often I say that we need to feel or witness a physical representation of Christ, that we need to see His love acted out for us as well as those we claim to want to share that love with. But I never really project that onto myself, for whatever reason. I never really think of myself needing, until He gives it, and then I realize how much I really did need it. Does that make sense?...... it makes total sense to me, and it's amazing how He fills us as we pour ourselves onto others.

Thanks for sharing Tom, you lifted my heart and gave me something else to hold in my hand and reflect on!
hugs!
